I’m realizing that this site looks a little, well, neglected these days, and I apologize. Here’s the thing: I’ve been writing more big serialized projects than usual over the last couple of years, and the back end of this site is a little squirrelly when it comes to handling serials. There are some things it does really well when it comes to chapters, but one thing it doesn’t do well—actually, it doesn’t do it at all—is handle chapters on the index pages.
What does that mean? You can find The Mouse Vignettes listed on the front page and in the index, but it goes to the table of contents for the whole serial. That’s great…if the serial is complete. In the case of the Vignettes, it is, but that’s not true with some other projects.
To complicate matters a bit more, the engine I’m using for this site is an old version of Lektor that will need to be updated soon…but for various annoying reasons, whenever I try to update it, things break in spectacular fashion. So I’m not really sure what to do at this point. Part of me is tempted to write my own Arilin-specific web site builder, but that may be more trouble than it’s worth.
So. I’ll figure this out in some fashion; I swear this isn’t a ruse to get you to subscribe to my Patreon if you’re not doing it already. With the exception of Saida & Autumn, which I had expected to finish editing into an ebook at the start of this year but ha ha 2020, everything has shown up on Fur Affinity—and I really do plan to get it all here, too, where frankly it just looks better.
